With the popularity of mobile devices and laptops, touch screen technology has become an important way for users to operate their computers on a daily basis. Apple has also been pushing the development of touch screen technology in response to market demand, and is reportedly working on a touch screen-enabled Mac computer that will be available in 2025. Although Steve Jobs insisted that touch screens do not belong on the Mac, even calling them “ergonomically awful,” Apple has now gone against his ideas more than once, such as the large Apple iPhone 14 pro max, etc. Jobs did not support large screen phones.
The touch-screen-enabled Mac computer will use Apple’s own chip, run on MacOS, and may be combined with a standard touchpad and keyboard. Or the design of this computer will be similar to the iPad Pro, with a full-screen design, eliminating the physical keyboard and using a virtual keyboard and stylus technology.
According to the report, the new touchscreen Mac, the new MacBook Pro with OLED display, could be the first touchscreen Mac in 2025, during which Apple’s developers are actively working on a new technological breakthrough.
Regardless, this technological invention and breakthrough is a major reversal of company policy and will be a confrontation with touchscreen skeptics – Steve Jobs.
